De Beers bets on India's middle class to combat lab-grown diamonds

De Beers Group is focusing on India to sustain demand for natural diamond jewellery. Forevermark, its natural diamond brand, aims to capture the mid-premium segment with an average price point of Rs 1.5 lakh. The company plans to open 15 new stores and 10 franchise outlets in India by 2026, partnering with Titan Ltd to promote natural diamonds amid growing competition from lab-grown diamonds.
