Jefferies sees hurdles for India-EU FTA

India and the European Union are close to finalising a Free Trade Agreement, with autos, electronics, textiles and pharmaceuticals as key focus sectors. India has concerns over non-tariff barriers, especially the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. India’s goods exports to the EU annualise at about $75 billion, forming 17% of total exports and nearly 80% of exports to the US.
