Trai chairman AK Lahoti said blockchain filtering and AI-led detection cut spam complaints to nearly one per crore voice calls and SMS. The improvement follows strict enforcement, including disconnection of 21 lakh numbers and tighter checks on telemarketers. Trai also proposed steps to improve indoor mobile connectivity and recommended changes to building codes.
