Nvidia to acquire Groq's assets for approximately $20 billion

Nvidia agreed to buy Groq's high-performance AI accelerator assets for $20 billion in cash, its largest purchase ever, expanding its capabilities and adding talented employees from Groq. Groq will continue as an independent company with a new CEO, Simon Edwards, and license its inference technology to Nvidia. Nvidia had $60.6 billion in cash and short-term investments in October.
