Where you live and travel determines tax residency status

Flipitmoney

An individual is considered a resident in India if their stay exceeds 60 days or 120 days for Indian citizens/origin. To be "not ordinarily resident," stay should be between 120-182 days with income from Indian sources over ₹15 lakh. Continuous 3-month trips make the person a non-resident if stay is less than 120 days, and an NRI if stay is less than 60 days.
