LIC sells nearly 2% of Hindustan Copper stake

LIC trimmed its stake in Hindustan Copper by 2%, selling 0.97% equity between August 16 and December 23, reducing its holding from 6.086% to 4.07% shares. The company saw an 85% rise in net profit to Rs 186.02 crore in the September 2025 ended quarter. Hindustan Copper's shares surged 76% in 2025, delivering 337% three-year returns and 620% five-year returns.
