Market rises for second week, setting fresh Nifty high

The Nifty 50 reached a fresh all-time intraday high of 26,340, while the BSE Sensex surged 720.56 points or 0.84 percent. Key gainers included IDBI Bank and Tata Steel, while ITC and United Spirits declined. BSE Small-cap and Mid-cap indices rose 1 and 1.7 percent respectively. Foreign Institutional Investors sold equities worth Rs 13,180.09 crore, despite turning net buyers in the Friday session.
