Steelmakers hike flat steel prices following safeguard duty

Major Indian steelmakers such as JSW Steel, Tata Steel, and Jindal Steel increased flat steel prices 1.5-2% on a per tonne basis after the government introduced a three-stage safeguard duty regime. Price increases range from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per tonne, with HRC and CRC prices now at Rs 50,250-Rs 51,250 and Rs 56,700-Rs 58,500 per tonne respectively.
