Foreign investors pump Rs 1594 crore into Indian equities

FIIs net sold Rs 1154 crore of Indian equities on February 18, while DIIs net bought Rs 440 crore. For the year, foreign investors are net sellers at Rs 40,839 crore, while domestic investors are net buyers at Rs 81,285 crore. Nifty 50 closed at 25,819.35, up 93.95 points, with a strong buying sentiment. India VIX declined by 3.55% to 12.2225, indicating improving trader confidence.
