Note: NSE can shut down the market on days other than the ones listed above or open the market for trading on NSE holidays. Besides, the Exchange can reduce, advance, or extend trading hours when it deems fit. Traders are notified of such changes in advance via circulars.

The NSE will conduct a special live trading session on Saturday, March 2, 2024, to test the intra-day switchover from the primary site to the disaster recovery site for equity and equity derivatives segments. The session will be in two phases: the first phase, a 45-minute session, will start at 9:15 am, and the second phase will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

According to an NSE notification, markets will remain open until 3:30 PM on January 20, 2024, and there will be a trading holiday on January 22, 2024, as declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act.

The pre-open session on the NSE is from 9:00 am to 9:15 am, lasting 15 minutes. This session includes both order gathering and order matching phases, with the price range reflecting that of the normal market.

2. Regular Trading Timings for Equities:

Regular trading hours are from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm, with a continuous session of 6 hours and 15 minutes and no break for lunch. The NSE does not offer pre-market or after-hours trading.

3. Block Deal Session Timings:
