📈 Domestic benchmark indices closed on a flat note on 13-May-2024
📢 At 3:30 PM, the Sensex gained 111.66 points or 0.15% at 72,776.13, and the Nifty was higher by 48.85 points or 0.22% at 22,104.05.
📊Among sectoral, Nifty Pharma (⬆️1.77%) turned out to be the best performer while Nifty Auto (⬇️1.68%) saw considerable selling.

Can Indian stock market crash further before Lok Sabha election result?

The recent surge in volatility in the Indian stock market may persist for the next few weeks, and the benchmark Nifty 50 may correct for another 2-3 per cent in the coming weeks, driven by the prevailing uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the Lok Sabha election on June 4th, according to experts. Market experts, however, remain upbeat about the medium-to-long-term prospects of the D-Street.

Stock Markets Today: Nifty Bank breaks below 100-DMA

The Nifty Bank on Monday, broke below its 100-Day Moving Average of 47,197, extending its losses for the fifth day in a row. Last week, the index had broken below its 50-Day Moving Average (DMA) as well, which is currently placed above levels of 47,600. All 12 constituents of the Nifty Bank are trading with losses on Monday with PNB, SBI and IndusInd Bank featuring among the top losers.

Gold beats Nifty in 5-year timeframe. How much should you invest?

Gold has delivered consistent mid to high-teens returns over the past 1, 3, 5 and 7 years. In fact, gold has outperformed the Nifty 50 over the past 5 year period, delivering an 18% CAGR, and matched Nifty returns over past 7 years. There are few asset classes that can make that claim. Gold broke out of its range in early March. There have been four - 1971, 1978, 2004 and 2019 - major breakouts.

Bears growl! Sensex crashes 600 points, Nifty below 21,900 ⚠️

Ahead of domestic inflation data due later in the day, Indian benchmark equity indices traded with deep cuts on Monday, dragged by auto and IT stocks. Volatility spiked with the 4th phase of Lok Sabha elections today. India VIX shot up 14%.The BSE Sensex was trading at 72,060, down 600 points or 0.79%. Meanwhile, Nifty50 was trading at 21,897, down 158 points or 0.72% around 9.40 am.
