Stock Markets Today: Nifty Bank breaks below 100-DMA

The Nifty Bank on Monday, broke below its 100-Day Moving Average of 47,197, extending its losses for the fifth day in a row. Last week, the index had broken below its 50-Day Moving Average (DMA) as well, which is currently placed above levels of 47,600. All 12 constituents of the Nifty Bank are trading with losses on Monday with PNB, SBI and IndusInd Bank featuring among the top losers.

Gold beats Nifty in 5-year timeframe. How much should you invest?

Bears growl! Sensex crashes 600 points, Nifty below 21,900 ⚠️

Ahead of domestic inflation data due later in the day, Indian benchmark equity indices traded with deep cuts on Monday, dragged by auto and IT stocks. Volatility spiked with the 4th phase of Lok Sabha elections today. India VIX shot up 14%.The BSE Sensex was trading at 72,060, down 600 points or 0.79%. Meanwhile, Nifty50 was trading at 21,897, down 158 points or 0.72% around 9.40 am.

📢 Sensex plunges 191 points at the open; Nifty around 22,000

📈 Amid weak global cues, domestic benchmark indices started gap-down on May 13, 2024.
📢 At 9:16 AM, the Sensex tanked 191.48 points or 0.26% at 72,472.99, and the Nifty plunged 54.55 points or 0.25% at 22,000.65.
📊 Tata Motors (⬇️3.94%), Laurus Labs (⬇️1.27%) and Manappuram Finance (⬇️1.26%) appeared as the top losers on the Nifty 50 at the Open.

Holding 21,950 can take Nifty to higher supports: Analysts

Nifty is facing downward pressure, and a drop below 21,950 is expected to initiate a sell-off towards 21,770, said technical analysts. However, the FII long-short ratio in the index futures stood at around 32%, suggesting that the markets might be nearing oversold territory. Analysts said if the Nifty closes above 22,150, it could present a buying opportunity.
