Investors lose Rs 4 lakh crore as Sensex melts 1,100 pts
Selling pressure in index heavyweights Reliance Industries (RIL) and HDFC Bank dragged Indian headline indices on Friday. While the S&P BSE Sensex crashed 1,126 points or 1.5% to the day's low of 73,627.99, the broader Nifty 50 plunged 289 points, hitting the day's low of 22,358.65. Stock Split: KPI Green to consider proposal to divide its shares on May
KPI Green Energy on Friday, May 3, said its board of directors have scheduled a meeting on May 23 to consider a stock split of existing shares on the face value of ₹10. This is the first ever stock split that would be carried out by the company. While this will be the company's first stock split, it has earlier declared a 1:2 bonus issue this year as well as in January last year.
