Kotak MD, CEO Ashok V. guides for a hit of up to Rs 400 cr from RBI curbs
Ashok Vaswani, MD and CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank (KMB), said the "back-of-the-envelope" impact on the bank's profitability on account of the restrictions placed by RBI could be ₹300 crore to ₹400 crore. Speaking with the analysts on Saturday within hours of declaring the fourth quarter results, he also indicated that the bank would continue to be prudent and not get aggressive on credit growth.

Domestic MFs gain ground, FIIs losing the plot
Stakes of domestic mutual funds (MFs) in listed companies rose to an all-time high of 8.92% on 31 March, up from 8.81% a quarter ago, according to data collated by primeinfobase.com. With this, the share of foreign institutional investors shrank to an 11-year low of17.68% during the quarter, down by 51 basis points. One basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point.

NCLAT dismisses Religare's appeal against CCI nod
The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has rejected Rashmi Saluja-led Religare Enterprises' appeal seeking a stay on the Competition Commission of India's (CCI) approval for the Burman family's proposed acquisition of shares of the financial services group through an open offer. Religare Enterprises (REL) had last month challenged the CCI approval before the appellate tribunal.
